I read the entire essay!</p><p>As I've been saying for a year or two now, *almost nothing has actually changed* technology-wise between 1995 and 2025. Most of HTML 3.5 still works in any browser. It's super easy to learn. I've got that shit on muscle-memory speed-dial and could whip out a site in notepad in 30 minutes!</p><p>Nothing has actually been *taken* from us; we've just been discouraged from using it! A bunch of techbros took up a bunch of space and we just said \"ok I guess you make all the spaces now.\" That's nothing but a culture thing! Manipulation!
