I will probably cancel my current (very JSON-LD focused) website rewrite. It is not very nice to work with when editing *and* coding.
I'll do the next one in Rust too. But this time, I'll create one giant KDL file to configure everything (pages, colllections, feeds, …). I'll might also create a new URL structure (while redirecting all old ones) and add a native comment system. I'll definitely do a design refresh and restructure my navigation and footer.

@ricmac #Madblog has native support for #Webmentions, and unlike #ActivityPub they’re enabled by default.
I’ve tried to make it as simple as possible and avoid manual callbacks or special tags for mentioned links.
You put a link in an article, and when you save it Webmentions are sent to supported targets. Someone mentions your article from a place that supports Webmentions, and the mention is stored on your blog.

I'm starting a little public experiment. 🧪
I'm a complete non-programmer and I'm going to build a custom theme for Kirby CMS v5 — together with an LLM (Claude by Anthropic) as my coding partner. 😉
The goal: migrate my German blog kranzkrone.de from WordPress to Kirby, with a clean, minimalist design built (almost) from scratch.
Every step will be documented — the progress, the dead ends, the "why doesn't this work?!" moments. The code will be open on Codeberg. I'll blog about it and toot about it here.
If we hit a wall, I'll just show the code to someone who knows more. That's the beauty of building in public. 🙂
