I do not use AI tools for my hobby project @ChronoLink, but I haven't made a big deal out of it - yet!
Today, thanks to this post by @josejfernandez, I found out about the "human.json" protocol: a way to mark websites as 100% human-made - and somewhat ironically, it's designed to be machine-readable to help with discovery, and potentially building a web of trust.
In addition to adding that to my site, I quickly made a "No AI" info page using a nice badge by @aimeecozza:
https://www.chronolink.app/ai/
Also, in my human.json file, I vouch for (link to) both Jose and Beto Dealmeida, the guy who came up with the idea.

Holy crap, Jack Conte's presentation at SXSW 2026 hits all the points that I, as a tech enthusiast with deep concerns as a frustrated creator in the age of AI, have been wrestling with. Incredible and insightful.
Highly relevant to #indieweb and #openweb from the human side of things, what we want to make and make possible.
RE: https://digipres.club/@raffaele/116254621555834322
Here's something cool for personal web site owners, it's like webrings but it's a *mesh*. Put it on your site, then add what other sites you want it to link toâthey must also have this installed, and there is a community thread full of sites that are participating. Basically a neat way for viewers of your site to discover other #IndieWeb sites.
Also talked to @nickv (who made Flora, the SSG that powers my blog) over coffee about how to do syntax highlighting, so hopefully my posts about Rust will be prettier soon.

So, as planned, I published a follow-up / addendum blogpost about crawlers overwhelming my services.
It adds a few details about what happened since I put the rate limiting in place, provides an analysis of the attack sources (spoiler: big cloud providers), and some technical details about how everything works.
It also adds a few clarifications that were missing from previous post.
Read it here: https://xaselgio.net/posts/26-1.addendum-poisoning-knowledge
(I also edited the previous post to mention the follow-up)
i read the autumn/winter edition of the Good Internet Magazine on the day it arrived: https://goodinternetmagazine.com/
it's a cozy digital-and-print publication about the indie web, very accessible to everyone, not just to technologists
reading it reignited some of the desire to build an experience on the web that lies outside the norm of "usefulness" and "coherence"
i'm grateful to all authors and to @xandra for orchestrating it
