Thanks to Brendan Schlagel, who got me thinking about this.

So many people have their own newsletter these days, and I don’t know how I feel about it.
On one hand I LOVE that people publish on their own terms and that their audience is directly connected to them.
On the other, many of those newsletters have unnecessary high cadences, and they feel more marketingy than personal.
I’m still a personal blog & RSS nerd, and I know we’re not a dying breed.
Ave, folks,
This one was inspired by the current Pixel Dailies calendar ("braille" prompt), though I decided not to wait ![]()

It was created in hopes to remind of the importance of Alt texts, how it feels when you know something is present but can't access it ![]()
As always, feel free to grab!

Where can I find all the cool #indieweb images and links and where can I announce mine?
After another lovely #HomebrewWebsiteClub meeting, I got inspired to add a little feature that was on my #personalwebsite to-do list: a permalink section.
I learnt that you can add a #CSS rule to make the text selection default to all with: `user-select: all`

Jumped on the human.json bandwagon. Some good discussion tonight at IndieWeb meetup about how it relates to a blogroll. I don't see why they couldn't both be supported from the same source of truth.
ICYMI, my recent review of Against the Demon World by D.M. Ritzlin is now mirrored at my review archive blog. Pulp adventure in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs!

The Writing Slowly stats page has been given a natty makeover. As a result I’ve learned it will take 18 hours to read this whole site. Good luck!

New blog post: Recap March 2026
Woah this is really cool! William Parker wrote a @powRSS plugin for Obsidian to get the Discovery feature as a launch file.
"That makes my heart swell in appreciation that there are still people, groups of people who think this idea still should exist. And not only that, but if you were around on the web since before Web 2.0, this almost feels like a resurgence of how the web was before corporations took over."
I see that Kev is not entirely succeeding at dialling back the rate of development on Pureblog. Here's a couple of screenshots of the new admin stats page which is really neat.
