Just finished some adjustments to the current version of my little personal webpage.
No more iframes, no more dependencies on Google/YouTube or other external sites, no more unnecessary cookies or tracking. 🙂
Up next: making separate pages for some of the projects I've worked on to provide more detail, and adding an actual links page so my site isn't just a "dead end" on the Web anymore.

So, uh, what's a good Creative Commons license to use for my personal website and blog?
I'm inclined to use CC-NC-SA, but, like, wouldn't that allow some asshole to copy my website, change words and make me look like a bigot or something, as along as they give credit to me? I mean, I'd rather not take credit for someone's gross mischaracterization of me.
Or... do I understand that correctly? Is there some clause in that license that restricts impersonation and targeted harassment? Wouldn't something like CC-NC-ND be better, then?
Or is this another instance of me being paranoid and thinking people are (1) out to get me, (2) more cruel than they are, and (3) that I'm a more important and consequential figure than the rational part of my mind believes?

Okay, I think I underestimated Mastodon.
I joined a few hours ago, posted a little #introduction, mentioned Linux, handwritten HTML, blogging, and missing the old internet…

Experimenting with drop caps on my blog, straddling the line between text-focused minimalism and whimsy!
The drop cap font I'm using on the desktop version is called Medieval Alphabet Font. I was originally using Nouveau Drop Caps, which is a little more readable, but not as stereotypically "medieval." I decided to use Nouveau Drop Caps for the mobile version of my site, as the more ornate styling of Medieval Alphabet Font doesn't really work on smaller screens.
