“Making sense of Zettelkasten” by George Supreeth
«When I first came across the concept of a Zettelkasten I waved it away as a fad. Actually, no. I didn’t just wave it away. I waded into the deep end, read extensively, joined the community and…»

Web Day is this Saturday at the Albina Library at noon! Check it out at https://clipdx.com/webday
Web Day is also now part of Computers Like Portland, a fun umbrella (funbrella?) of cool events, so follow there for more to come
Just read a great-ish report on the working class and then ran into the most annoying pay wall message ever. "You have 59.2% of this article left to read. The rest is for subscribers only." Fuck off. Closed the tab. This is why I stick with small blogs and the #IndieWeb
Web Day! Come click and link and surf and share with us.
This Saturday June 20th, 12pm at Albina library, Community Room 2A

Hey @q! Your website got mentioned at an #Indieweb meetup, so I thought you might be interested. I've been building a CLI version of my website for quite some time... it's become a pretty advanced project at this point. Feel free to poke around.

It's also on Github at https://github.com/kupietools/web-CLI-browser/
Mastodon 4.6 is out with featured user collections, similar to Bluesky starter packs. I’m exploring the best way to support this in Micro.blog. The API is similar to quote posts in how it’s built around opting in, so there’s more chatter between servers via ActivityPub.
im not really sold on activitypub or atproto as a standard. has anyone made an app where you subscribe to people via an rss/atom feed and then replies/reblogs are handled by outgoing rss/atom feeds, possibly using some sort of email or webmention service so they know when they've been replied to? if not, is anyone working on one so I can donate to them?

Working on an indie search engine for the small web.
No ads. No spammy ranking games. No AI slop. Just the good old search experience: real results that actually match what you typed. Self-hostable and reliable.
What do you think?

Sharing is caring, and I love the small web / IndieWeb, so this is a lovely initiative by Robert Birming (the creator of this community event).
