I've written some generators based on random tables for my #TTRPG site, but today I'm going to start adding actual online generators which can do the work for you right there on the page. I'm not sure which one I should start with, though. What do you think?

I don’t understand the idea that homemade websites have to purposely look like shit. No one wanted that in the 90s either, we just didn’t have a choice. Shitty typography was a bug not a feature.
It’s not punk rock, it’s just lazy.
Per the request of those in the thread, I have made a naive attempt to write out the pattern for the heart leaf chain. I am currently at over 20 leaves and going strong. I hope having a brief guide and detailed instructions helps. Keep in mind that this is my first ever crochet project, the original creator never wrote their pattern in text, and I have non-existent familiarity with how patterns get written. I'm still happy to reply to questions in the thread.

I created a basic sample blog with Pandoc and a few scripts. It was a fun project, but I kinda really like it. I don't want to replace my actual blog, but I want to do something with it.
Check it out at https://readbeanicecream-test-profile.surge.sh/index.html and throw some ideas at me. If you want to read about what I did to create it, the post is at https://readbeanicecream.codeberg.page/2026/06/15/blogging-with-pandoc/
All ideas are welcomed. Thanks!
THE FUCK OFF SEARCH ENGINES MANIFESTO
Search engines let evil corporations manipulate what knowledge we access. They're also insidious surveillance tools. They're also annoying because you have to wait for an extra page load and then navigate to the link you actually want.
Avoid using them. Often, you know what site you wanted to go to in the first place. Set up bookmarks, check out Search Shortcuts aka Site Search, and on very bad browsers, use DuckDuckGo Bangs.
They want every website to be AI slop. Be proud of bad SEO. Word-of-mouth and links are how people find real websites. Also check out Marginalia Search. This should be your robots.txt:
User-agent: search.marginalia.nu
Allow: /
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
# Fuck Off Search Engines
# *manifesto here (optional)*
Don't worry, archive sites don't use robots.txt.
Fuck most web design advice; it is tainted by SEO. Test your site with real accessibility tools, and check out WebAIM.

If you're a Pagecord customer – or just someone who likes reading indie blogs – please check out the Show HN post I just put on Hacker News and drop a comment, good or bad! Any engagement is good engagement on there I reckon :)
