Hate how modern social platforms strictly limit your character count or force you to pay for longer posts. If you want to write in-depth articles or complex arguments without restrictions, try aurorix.pages.dev. It's a clean Q&A platform with no word count limits. #Writing #Creators #IndieWeb

Bearcub seems like a good template to start on Hugo, I like to add it as a submodule to easily see how its made and to edit it.

It's been a headache to get everything as I want it, but at least now it looks better.

I have a great idea that I would love someone to steal if they're feeling so inclined: webmention/RSS bridge, bringing reblogs to the html world.

basically it would be a service where you give it an RSS feed for your website (and any webmentions you might send), and it gives you back an RSS feed of any webmentions you've received.

This week on the indie web: cli tools, ugly blogs, and bad titles. I've never felt so seen.

The next best thing to actually visiting a museum

"I hope you’ll enjoy this secondhand memory I remember via my mom, about a visit to our museum of natural history, Naturalis. I was around six years old at the time."

This is my (only three months) late submission to the Indieweb Carnival of March, hosted by James (https://jamesg.blog/2026/03/01/indieweb-carnival-museum-memories).

Muting is okay

A couple thoughts on dealing with unforgiving distractions from the social web.

Indie sellers, real question:

Which product category do you find hardest to photograph?

Answers usually cluster: reflective surfaces, translucent products, tiny details, stretchy textiles.

Drop yours. We prioritize next recipes from real category requests.
