So, yes, I did need to create an account to reply. If Bluesky had allowed me to use my IndieWeb identity or login from another commercial service, I probably would have done that. I am also more than happy to engage with you using another service where I am more established if that reassured you.
opinion to them. In doing so, I had to find your post. You chose to post on Bluesky, where I do not have an account, as everyone I regularly engage with who has a Bluesky account also has an identity elsewhere (IndieWeb, Mastodon, email - or a phone number).

The current version of HisVirusness.com celebrated its first anniversary yesterday. It's by far the most substantial and persistent project I've been involved with in years, and it began with two posts, a general stylesheet and some PHP I wrote in my early 20's. I planted the seeds and let it become what it wanted to be; I couldn't be happier with the result. Here's to many more years of abject ridiculousness.

YAY! Got a few offline folk to install an RSS reader and then I hooked them up with YouTube feeds and, of course, my 2 feeds. My Mastodon feed and my main RSS feed. Everyone was stunned they didn't have to login to anything.

I suspect Google will eventually do it's best to kill the YouTube RSS feed but for now, it works well.

It, sadly, doesn't work in podcast apps but anyway...

Find all my feeds at https://sightlessscribbles.com/follow/

The RSS app they all really like is this one. https://www.currentreader.app/

I Do Not Like Voting

I have noticed a growing trend across the Indie and Small Web, algorithmic community-based voting to surface "good" blogs. Is the Indie Web beginning to experience its own voting evolution in the same vein as social media? Is the Indie Web part of an inevitable ouroboros?
