Most useful takeaway: AI video market in 2026 is crowded, but buyers still need clear criteria for choosing. I broke down top options with focus on what matters in practice, not buzzwords. Read: https://toolstackscout.com/ai-tools/top-ai-video-generation-tools-2026/ #AI #VideoGeneration #IndieWeb

New #blog post! This one's got a little bit of everything! Switched my office PC over to Debian, quick guide on how to add custom emoji to your #Eleventy site, some thoughts on stuff I've read recently, and a whole mess o' links!

James and I have come up with a collaborative writing project that you’re welcome to join as well!
The idea is to share your thoughts on a poem through writing: there are no restrictions on the format, as long as you publish your words on your website. Let us know when you’ve written something, so we can add a link to your submission at the end of our posts.
The poem is "Repeat that, repeat" by Gerard Manley Hopkins (pictured and included in the posts).
Read our thoughts at:

And

And if you're inspired, we'd be happy to read yours!

🚀 RocWiki Rescue Mission Underway!
Just a heads-up to the local community and tech scene: a few of us are working behind the scenes to bring RocWiki back from the dead!
The old site went dark, but our city's crowdsourced history shouldn't stay buried in the Wayback Machine. We’ve already secured free local server infrastructure physically located right here in Rochester on Jay Street, and we're getting everything staged safely behind Cloudflare.
@rey — Since you were a major lifesaver keeping the hosting running in the past, we wanted to ping you to let you know the project is getting spun back up locally! We're currently trying to untangle the ghosted .org domain situation. If you happen to have any remaining info or old contact leads regarding the domain ownership, we'd love to chat.
The ultimate goal is to get our city’s encyclopedia fast, independent, and back in local hands. Stay tuned for updates!

Hello fediverse! I build Popsicle Boat, a small independent social site — no ads, no tracking, free.
Its favorite trick: being the comment section for blogs that don't run one. Your blog gets a space, posts you choose get a discussion thread, and one link is the whole integration. One post a month, one post a year, one post ever — all fine.
My blog does this: https://jva.lol/weblog/popsicle-boat-as-a-comment-section/
ICYMI Since moving my blog over to Pandoc, I have started a little series on how to blog and do other things with Pandoc.
