I'm calling it. 2026 is the year of sustainable indie products.
Pagecord blocks AI training bots by default (but not AI search engines) but you can now edit robots.txt yourself if you want (premium customers, that is).
Is this something you'll use? Keen to hear your use cases.

I love Bearblog but I keep finding deeply, deeply disturbing blogs through the Discover page.
Today I found this gem (not linking since I already reported it to Herman):
"Women must be made to submit, to fulfull their obligations to family and society, or rather the ones that don't are not real women; they're enemies to crush beneath our boots."
This is a person who also runs website in classic #indieweb styling, 88x31 buttons and all.
It's v weird seeing this shit in my online spaces!
I've improved the support for rel=me in the Pagecord navigation and written up how Pagecord uses Microformats as well.
Gotta love the IndieWeb, don't let it die! #indieweb

I built a writing app. Not a startup, not VC-funded, not harvesting your manuscript for training data. It's just a Scrivener-ish tool running on cheap shared hosting because I wanted it to exist and I wanted it to be beautiful.
Looking for ~5 people to playtest it and tell me where it falls apart. Bonus: there's an actual path to getting published at the end.
Reply or DM if you write things and want to try it out.
Not too long ago, I ran into an idea that is gaining traction in the blog/personal website space called slash pages. I decided to create a few of them myself.
I enjoyed this post on Imran's Blog... you may also enjoy it.
