📝 Implementing webmentions #development #indieweb #activitypub #webdev #webmentions
I've been working on a number of connection points between my site and the broader web. Part of that effort has been webmentions (which are a fairly small spec). You advertise an endpoint and someone posts a source and target and, from there, you do with the information as you please.

Minor but satisfying tweak to the lyrics repo on our website. Releases are now ordered newest to oldest, with listed years and conditional formatting for if it's a single or multi-track release.
About a month or so after the major CSS overhaul on the site, I've made some more modifications to the stylesheet after the fact to hone the aesthetic in even more. I'm on the fence about the most prominent additions, and I'll remain on the fence until I'm able to better vet performance on low-spec setups. But as it is conceptually, I'm very happy with it.

The follow-up, by way of being part of the precursor to posting the Four Cornerstones of Development that was the latest desire to point to something I could no longer find.
Vibe Markets Don’t Always Rhyme with Good Product

Thinking I found something to solve a friction making product gap I've long had was a rediscovery of continual poor patterns.
This Thursday I'm most happy to say I'm taking part in the glorious NHAM FEST 26 with some new music and fresh versions, dubbed up live using a bunch of gismos.
Date 27/08/26 - Start time 13:00 UTC
Expect seagulls, drones, electronica, breaks, dubbing and funny noises organised in a manner my ear finds pleasing and, providing I can fit my TV in here, will have cool new visuals!

Also, be sure to check the schedule for other wicked Fedi noise botherers!

I finally took some time to try out arenas in a small C project. Wow! Pretty great! Blogged some details about using it in my daily word game solver here: https://minbytes.com/articles/arenas-in-newdle.html

Wrapping up a project that's kept me busy for six months + a schedule gap = time to finally build a digital garden?
