Trump renames Canadian Geese to American Geese
Polls suggest widespread support from Canadians.

What does it take to be on or be part of the #indieweb?
As several have shared before me:
* own your domain and publish some content on it
That’s the foundation. If you have a personal website on a domain you own and control, you’re on the indieweb or part of the indieweb or however you would like to express a sense of belonging.
Of course there are lots of things you can do to be more indieweb, and that’s very much a choose your own adventure journey.
Maybe you’ll decide to post your content first on your personal site rather than on silos, and only post copies (syndicate) to social media walled gardens.
* https://indieweb.org/POSSE
Maybe you like taking an explicitly principled approach, step-by-step.
* https://indieweb.org/principles
Maybe you’ll decide to entirely quit using specific silos, for any reason, whether you created a replacement with your own site, or switched to a community owned and run solution.
* https://indieweb.org/silo-quits
Maybe you’re a developer and decide to implement various open web standards (formats and protocols) so your indieweb site can interact more with other indieweb sites.
* https://indieweb.org/building-blocks
Maybe you want to join a community of like-minded folks creatively expressing themselves on their personal sites, treating each other respectfully, encouraging each other, and collaborating on building better solutions than sites that require agreeing to long and heavily imbalanced terms of service.
* https://indieweb.org/join
All of these are optional.
Make a personal website on a domain you own, put some content there.
Welcome.

I talked the talk.
I did some work on the #backend, and improved the #UX for minimal browsers like #Dillo, #NetSurf and #RetroZilla.
IndieAuth is a federated login protocol for Web sign-in, enabling users to use their own domain to sign in to other sites and services. IndieAuth can be used to implement #OAuth2 login AKA OAuth-based login.
#IndieAuth is built on ideas and technology from existing proven technologies like OAuth and #OpenID but makes it easier for users as well as developers. It decentralizes much of the process so completely separate implementations and services can be used for each part.
My group chat is dead now. Instead of disbanding it, I would rather keep it for the long term, like it's my own group chat. It's just like Dota 2, which was not so popular until years later.

«Building a decentralized bulletin board (and accidentally reinventing Nostr)»
Let's build a bulletin board with no account, no sign-up, and no single server behind it. By the time we finish, we'll have accidentally reinvented two technologies that already existed: FidoNet (1984) and Nostr.

A social platform should be a place of publication, not the sole custodian of what I publish there.
I have released the Huginn → WordPress machinery behind my own Social Posts archive as a sanitized, platform-agnostic PESOS template. Built with ChatGPT.
Chris is hosting this month's IndieWeb Carnival and asked us to write about purpose.
I chose to write about the importance of discussions in open web instead of private, walled gardens.

Kree, jaffa! I collected a few Stargate-like games I've tried. Which games would you add to the list?

A lot of discussions about markdown happen and it was time to write up my markdown apps I use now and how and why.
