Created a photography section on my site, and added some old photos:
Three.js websites are a great way to trigger a seizure, or at the very least, infuriate users who just want to buy something or find basic information.
Let’s be real about why these exist: they are built for social media clout, award site badges, and likes from other designers.
Sure, that flashy portfolio lands clients, but it does those clients a massive disservice. Most businesses do not need a digital theme park; they just want to sell their goods, generate leads, and explain their services clearly.
Instead, they get a bloated, 150MB tech demo that sets their customers' laptop fans on fire and hijacks basic scrolling. The people making these are artists, not practical web designers or developers. Their work belongs in an art gallery, a motion reel, or visual effects for film, but not on the functional web.
If a client wants to sell socks, book consultations, or offer B2B software, forcing users through a loading screen and an interactive 3D mesh is actively driving sales away. It prioritizes the designer's vanity portfolio over the client's bottom line.

🇮🇹 The 2026 Italian Grand Prix was historic: Antonelli won at Monza from 19th on the grid and Mercedes secured a one-two finish. There was also a red flag, controversy and plenty to debate about this new F1.

Random question for Fedi:
What are some good #wiki projects you know of, other than Wikipedia? Especially those related to #tech, but anything really.
I know of the Arch Wiki, but I've yet to come across anything else that parallels those two in terms of usefulness. Any good stuff I should be aware of?

My manager, John Foster, wrote yesterday on dev.to about his concerns about where AI may be taking us as developers: https://dev.to/jf990/considering-our-collective-ai-future-54ch
I share many of those concerns, but I also see some reasons for hope.
What do you think? 🤔🙂

I built See the Forest, a knowledge-network blog.
Knowledge is, by nature, a network. I wanted mine to be something people could actually see and explore.
Each node is a real topic or article. Drag a node, follow its connections, and open the content behind it.
See the trees. See the forest.

We just shipped the PostWire node for n8n 🎉
Drop one idea in → get a native post out for every network you've connected. No copy-pasting the same caption everywhere. Each platform gets something that actually fits.
If you're already building n8n workflows, this one's worth a look.

Qumbo schreibt (schön): Custom Fonts in Twine (Harlowe)
Good morning! Just some Monday morning thoughts on IndieWeb and POSSEE.
I've been working on "🌿 Second steps into the IndieWeb," where I've shared my experience trying to join this movement.
