Built a small thing: sfogaty.com
You type something you can't say out loud. No account, no email, nothing tracked. Then you close the tab.
It's in 12 languages because the things people can't say turn out to be pretty similar everywhere.
While correcting and fixing links on my website, I’m noticing that an increasing number of authors and writers are giving up their personal websites to move everything to #Substack and I’m very sad as a result. What appears to be happening is they do a lot of personal blogging on Substack and just leave their website to be a landing page for their brand.
even though I can understand the separation, I really don’t think readers would mind if authors kept a personal blog alongside the place where they learn about their books. I would even suggest it makes it easier for readers to keep up with you, having everything under one website.
At least Substack allows me to follow them via RSS until they destroy that mechanism. I’m just sad this keeps happening.
The #IndieWeb needs more turn keys services like BearBlog.

I don’t talk about Celect much here, but it’s something I’ve been running for a while.
Lately I’ve been simplifying the product, including a new self-serve signup flow and simpler offerings.
Just finished a redesign of the landing page to bring it all together:

I set up my first #blog in #WriteFreely and it's now even federated!
Verily, I don't expect that many people to read it, especially when it's gonna be written in #slovak language for people in #slovakia , but it's gonna be fun - I am not proficient in #markdown at all, so at least this will change a bit.
...and let's write like it's 1999. Because I f*ckin' love 1990s.
Just discovered this IndieWeb starter pack on Bluesky and followed a few more people from it. It includes some accounts bridged to Mastodon too, so you can follow everyone in one place on Bluesky or Micro.blog.
I'm posting about writing about talking about running.

HUE&CRY is a fictional marketing agency built for a portfolio case, and its whole pitch is get louder or get scrolled past. The homepage proves it instead of writing about it: type a brand name and the page repeats it back three times, rising intensity, from plain to outline to solid magenta. The typography does the arguing.

Content warning:Website stuff
At some point in the next week I want to finally get around to creating a 24/7 stream of ambient sounds that I’ve recorded. I like the idea of popping headphones on and there’s nice relaxing nature sounds. One of my nerd hobbies is recording nature sounds so it goes hand in hand with my site
