On Thor's Day a random wonderful assortment of #FrontEnd professionals and amateurs will convene and try to make practical hay out of talking about HTML and #CSS in an #IndieWeb Zoom. Camera optional, it's always a good time for me. I always learn new stuff. https://events.indieweb.org/2026/10/front-end-study-hall-061-saxhIC7ay0IT
folderblog 0.2.10 adds optional podcast download stats with OP3, the free, open-source stats service. Add one analytics_prefix line to blog.toml and your episodes are counted, with no account to create. It's off by default, so existing feeds don't change.
I made a quiet little thing for people who write online. Persistwise watches your blog's RSS feed and keeps three copies of every new post: a Wayback Machine snapshot, an IPFS pin, and a saved copy. You keep writing wherever you already do.

I moved my website to #WordPress and made a bunch of updates, including new content, new pages, #RSS feeds, and a new #ActivityPub feed.

And a big thank you to the @internetarchive and everyone else who helped preserve pieces of GeoCities and the early web.
And to Neocities, the tilde communities, the Fediverse and all the independent projects creating new spaces for people to express themselves, create, experiment and simply have fun.
The spirit of the old web isn’t dead. We just need to keep it alive, together. ❤️

17 years ago today, Yahoo shut down GeoCities. 😢
It was one of the first places where ordinary people could create, experiment and express themselves online. Weird, colourful, personal websites. No algorithms deciding what was worth seeing.
Then a corporation pulled the plug.
Today, much of the web has become a collection of corporate walled areas, where companies control what we see, say and share.
We didn’t just lose GC. We lost a piece of what made the web wonderful.
Good Morning lovely people!
This week I uploaded my weeknotes earlier than usual. 🥳
Have a fantastic week everyone!

I lowered the prices on Dredge Host, my small web hosting company 🪣
Silt is now $3/month ($30/year), Channel $8, and Harbor $15.
Same features as before: real cPanel, free HTTPS, email on your own domain, and every limit published. And the price stays the same when you renew. No intro deals that triple later.
If you've got a portfolio, blog, or small site looking for a home: https://dredgehost.com
Boosts appreciated!

With Foursquare acquired by private equity, Swarm probably isn’t long for this world, so I’m getting serious about adding location check-ins to our iOS app Sunlit. The Micropub APIs have been there forever. First pass will use Apple Maps, then a custom places db later.
